Following suit its taken elements from modern warfare for the story mode but this still works really well when playing out the story, i have had a little go on the multiplayer and this seems to be a fantastic experience so far with many features bought over from bad company 2 and features long removed since the days of Bf2 on the PC such as prone.

All in all its looking good so far.

Well I did cave and buy Forza 4 the day of release and I have to say Its got some beautiful features including the kinect additions, more so the head tracking “once your envirment allows it to pick you up”.

It has a very simular feel to Forza 3 as to be expected but seems to be more tight and fluid when playing the campaign, the addition of the community features and in my case being a member of vx220.org.uk you can now share cars with your comunity members for use in races so theres allways the chance you will have access to cars during leveling that you dont fancy spendign the cash on.

the leveling is also more fluid to with a faster approche to it upto lvl 30 and the added infinity options means you can get big rewards for using a manufacture alot over sticking to a specific car.

If you like driving simulators but like a little more realism, GET FORZA 4!

Should I complete Forza 3 first?… well the good news is you can import your forza 3 profile into Forza 4 so that should help me get into this improved platform with some of my acheived credits and cars from my hours of play previously.

The thing that I find exciting is some of the kinect features that seem to be in game such as the head tracking, being able to look slightly off around the cockpit appleals to me, maybe not so much the invisible searching action but being able to look into the corners and around the car will give this game that extra level of realisum when you rracing in the pack.

is it going to be a first day purchase, well I’m not sure as games are getting more expensive by the month and with christmas around the block along with battlefield 3 its going to have to be something special to get a day 1, lets see what the demos like.

Hi Ho Silver… thats all I hear when Captain Clicks playing on his ipad, infact I do believe I’ve now evolved over the past few years to have a heightened 6th sense for when he’s clicking/betting and not doing his paid job.

will he flinch if he's busted... I think not!

Following on from my Vent about the adventures of Captain Click I’ve seen a few qualities that I have to admire him for, one of which I would like to call the
THE BUSTED where the Captain will be clicking away using the FAKER to make it sound like he’s at least looking in the direction of his screen “we all know thats false mind unless its to check the bbc racing pages for results” and one of the office guys like myself will walk to the printer where we can stand and watch him at his desk.
Now I can hear you saying “Isnt that a level of stalking” but No I say, this allows me to initiate his THE BUSTED defence where we see him either do the following in any order:

1. Cover the Ipad with paper

2. Mumble and panic for a few seconds before grabbing the mouse

3. dragging Firefox just off screen or the Alt-Tab

4. leave the ipad out and ask the MD a question

5. Repeat a question out loud 8-9 times

Talking about evolution though also applys to Captain Click as he has within the past 6 months developed an OVERRIDE “environmental conditions depended” where he can pull off a ’2.’ but then jsut carry on but this appears more common place when there no authority in the office.

Ok, Ok I know its old and I’m a little slow picking this one but but seeing it in the bargen basket justified a purchase. My first response after playing is “Dang” why didn’t I buy this 2 years ago?? For a more arcade style Forza 3 but with a fixed in-car camera angle and a more lenient control system its a fantastic game to pick up and nock out an hour or so without having to feel like your going to have to devote days of your life to make any progression. The awards system is very quirky and defines initially whether your driving style is aggressive or skilled, regardless i’ve ended up with the agressive points on my scores even if i feel some of my laps were very skillful if I do say so myself.

after 2 hours of play I have already bought the elise 111 (closest car to the vx220 i can find) and painted it yellow, so all is well in the world in my profile. I can say I will be completing this game for sure as its extremely entertaining and will be purchasing shift 2 once i’m done. If you like forza.. but dont like the 30 minute races then grab this from the bargen bin and get racing.

Having completed and continuing playing Fallout 3 and coming from the age where I played the two originals I purchased Fallout 3 New Vegas 2 months ago and for the 13 hours I’ve played It defiantly up there with some of the greats.

It is more of the same old fallout being virtually the same process of gameplay with a different story but there appears to be more focus this time on reputation than the black and white of wether your playing the game as a good guy or bad guy. This is a good thing as you genurally dont feel like your doing anything wrong when you go down the darker roots as some of the good fractions (if you can call them good) seem to be border line with the actions they seem to be taking.

I’m awaiting a new TV to setup my MAN CAVE so once this is in place I will get a few more hours in and give my full verdict but so far its a 10/10 rating from me.

Anyone that knows me has heard my VENTS about having to listen to radio at work, all because Captain Clicker thinks it his prerogative to do so, the short of it is I did like hearing the soothing voice of Terry Wogen in the morning but this would be ruined by the peoples jester, know it all, and completely talentless goon Jeremy Vine being paid to heckle up the jobless and retired to call up his show and chat pure rubbish, this is comparable to GTA 3 Liberty City Radio with Laslow but far from the comical genious of a GTA radio station.

How does it smell Mr Vine

To add to my pure hate for this guy I have now to put up with Chris Evens who lets be frank, has had his day and is currrently moving up the ranks for his annoying audio clips of school bells…. Radio 2 has some other major flaws, the main one other than the Vine is its ability to play the same music at the same time daily. Come on.. I can see it being helpful for Captain Clicker so he can check his betting on the n-pad but god please just have some nice random classics if I have to be subjected to this tripe.

I do how ever listen to much music when not having to answer the phones or sign for parcels on spotify and itunes. A podcast I would reccoment if you like a bit of xbox would be 360Gamercast with Webby and the team and if your stuck wih pure audio diarrhea in the background then for 2 hours a week this might just save your mind.

Well to extend the vent about the Clicking King I’ll let you into another thing he does that really does Grind My Gears, I like to call it the FAKER.

its his poker face

The FAKER is where the phone will ring and suddenly from the silence at his desk he will burst into action mumbling to himself about what he’s currently doing such as “Errr if i just click this and move that blah blah blah then….” and to enforce the realisum of the FAKER he does some suffling of papers and a pose such as the image to the right.

Dont get me wrong, I really wouldn’t mind if he never answered the phone but the level of acting that goes into getting out of doing stuff like answering the phone just adds to my frustration.

Reflecting on it further I also dislike it when he answers a call, as he will walk away from it making out how he’s the only guy to answer the phone or he’ll never listen to your request to take a message and try to hand you the call.

I’ll stop this VENT early as this could really take off.

Just finished building a pre designed email template for Berry Brothers, and along the process I have learnt a number of things that as a developer you dont always factor for.

The designs were produced by a top design agency in London and this was a great opportunity to work more closely with them, initially the build was simple but had many options open for how to approche the task at hand. The first hurdle was simply not having access to the email client they were using, this is actually the most important point of the job as I was to find many online email systems actually compile and send emails in way that allow email template builders to cheat the email clients into using styles that shouldn’t work on older and newer email cleints.

I use 2 clients, Campaign Manger and Contactology which both handle email templates differently but have a simular process when sending the emails out. The Clients email system however was back to basics so all the trickery the other email systems use to embed style sheet outside of the HEAD tag or even in the footer of the BODY tag jsut didnt cut the mustard so it was doing some advanced css styling using a limited in-line style.

Needless to say it worked but I wouldn’t like to produce email templates the same way on a daily basis, I would generally suggest to clients using theres more constrained systems to look at what they want from there email systems as there are some feature rich systems like Campaign Monitor that are going to allow you to really push the boundaries of your email templates without breaking your developer in the process.

I would love to recommend the cottage but i dont want anyone else to go there so I can book it all the time, but if you do fancy staying there i’ll give you some hints, its about 4 miles outside of Llandovery and its a cottage.
